Earl Miller recently contributed an exhibition catalogue essay for the Sudbury Fair of Alternative which was held from May 4 to May 7 2016.
The upcoming curated exhibitions include a co-curated booth at Art Athina (with Julie Rene DeCotret), an exhibition of contemporary Danish art at Typology in Toronto and an exhibition titled Rough Trade at 68 Square Metres at Art Institute in Copenhagen.
About Earl Miller :
Earl Miller is an independent art writer and curator based in Toronto. He has written catalogue essays for galleries and institutions ranging from the National Museum of Romania, to the Art Gallery of Hamilton, to Le Crédac: Center d’Art contemporain d’Ivry. His essays have also appeared in books: The Communism of Forms and Gordon Monahan: Seeing Sound. In addition, he has contributed to numerous visual arts periodicals including Art in America, Canadian Art and Flash Art.
He has curated exhibitions across Canada in public galleries and institutions such as the Art Gallery of Peterborough, the Doris McCarthy Gallery, the Yukon Art Center, the Tree Museum, and the Art Gallery of York University.
His critical and curatorial foci are on how contemporary art intersects with the every day in the public sphere and the effect of new technology on art production and discourse.
